Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how AYANA (ayanalab.com) uses cookies and similar technologies. We use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage — no tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies.

Scope

This policy applies to the AYANA website and web application at ayanalab.com and related subdomains operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME].

It describes cookies and browser storage we set or rely on when you visit or use the platform.

No tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies

AYANA does not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, audience measurement, or marketing profiling.

We do not deploy third-party analytics pixels, social media trackers, or similar technologies on ayanalab.com.

Strictly necessary cookies only

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and comparable rules, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request do not require prior consent.

Because AYANA uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication, security, and core functionality, we do not display a cookie consent banner on ayanalab.com.

Cookies we use

The following cookies are set when you use AYANA:

  • teachmates_token — Type: HTTP cookie (HttpOnly). Duration: 7 days. Purpose: Keeps you signed in and authenticates your session with our servers.
  • ayana_preview_session — Type: HTTP cookie. Duration: Session or short-lived preview period. Purpose: Supports anonymous preview access without a full account.
  • Auth0 cookies — Type: Third-party HTTP cookies set during login. Duration: As determined by Auth0 for the OAuth flow. Purpose: Required for secure sign-in, sign-up, and identity verification through our authentication provider.

Local storage on your device

AYANA also uses browser local storage for functional preferences and drafts. This data stays on your device and is not used for tracking.

  • Theme preference — Stores your light/dark or display theme choice so the interface loads consistently.
  • Studio draft autosave — Stores in-progress work locally so you do not lose drafts if you navigate away or refresh the page.

Third-party authentication (Auth0)

When you sign in or create an account, you are briefly redirected through Auth0. During that OAuth flow, Auth0 may set its own strictly necessary cookies on its domain to complete authentication securely.

We do not control Auth0 cookie names or lifetimes. Auth0 processes data as our processor for identity services. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

How to control cookies and storage

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or remove cookies when you close the browser.

Clearing strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and may disable preview or session features until you sign in again.

You can clear local storage through your browser's site data or developer tools. Clearing storage may reset your theme preference and remove unsaved studio drafts stored locally.

Relationship to our Privacy Policy

Cookies and local storage may be associated with personal data described in our Privacy Policy, for example when a session cookie links to your account.

For broader information on how we collect, use, and protect personal data, read our Privacy Policy at https://ayanalab.com/privacy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, providers, or legal requirements change.

If we begin using non-essential cookies such as analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this page and implement appropriate consent mechanisms before doing so.
