AI Transparency Notice

Last updated: May 2026

AYANA uses artificial intelligence to power mentoring, suggestions, and creative tools. This notice explains when you interact with AI, what it does, its limitations, and how your data is handled — in line with transparency expectations under the EU AI Act (Article 50).

About this notice

This AI Transparency Notice supplements our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and product disclaimers.

It is provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], operator of AYANA (ayanalab.com), to help you understand AI features before and while you use them.

You are interacting with AI systems

When you chat with mentors, receive coaching suggestions, or use AI-assisted studio tools on AYANA, you are interacting with artificial intelligence — not a human tutor, employee, or live support agent.

Mentor personas, names, avatars, and conversational styles are AI-generated presentations. They do not represent real individuals, and responses are produced automatically by software.

What our AI does

AYANA's AI systems are designed to support learning and product-building workflows. Depending on the feature you use, AI may:

  • Provide mentoring-style guidance, explanations, and follow-up questions tailored to your prompts and learning context.
  • Suggest edits, outlines, code snippets, design ideas, or next steps in Studio and related creative tools.
  • Summarize or rephrase content you submit to help you iterate on projects, assignments, or drafts.
  • Generate practice scenarios, feedback-style commentary, or structured learning prompts within the curriculum.

Limitations — not professional advice

AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You should verify important information independently.

AYANA AI does not provide professional legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other regulated advice. Do not rely on AI responses for decisions that require licensed expertise.

AI may occasionally produce harmful, biased, or offensive content despite safeguards. Use your judgment and stop using a feature if output seems unsuitable.

How your data is processed for AI

To generate responses, AYANA sends relevant prompts, conversation context, and content you submit to the OpenAI Enterprise API for inference.

We use this provider under contractual terms appropriate for service delivery. Data is processed to operate the feature you request, not for unrelated purposes.

For broader details on categories of data, retention, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy at https://ayanalab.com/privacy.

No sale of data; training opt-out

We do not sell your personal data or AI conversation content to third parties.

Under our OpenAI Enterprise API configuration, data submitted for inference is not used by OpenAI to train or improve their general models, consistent with enterprise API training opt-out settings.

We still apply our own retention, security, and access controls as described in the Privacy Policy.

Human oversight and reporting

AYANA maintains human oversight of the product, provider relationships, and reported issues. Automated AI responses are not the final word on account, billing, safety, or legal matters.

If you encounter harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or clearly incorrect AI content, contact us at privacy@daetis.ai with the page, feature, and a description of the issue so our team can review.

We may update prompts, filters, or disable features when we identify systemic risks or policy violations.

No automated decisions with significant legal effect

AYANA does not use AI to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, such as denying essential services, employment eligibility, or creditworthiness.

Account access, billing, moderation, and other consequential determinations involve human review or rule-based processes outside generative AI inference, except where AI assists staff with non-binding drafts or summaries.

Mastery scores and progress indicators

Mastery scores, streaks, badges, and similar progress indicators are guidance tools to support learning. They are algorithmically derived and may not fully reflect your skills or readiness.

These indicators are not certifications, grades, hiring signals, or guarantees of competency. Employers, educators, and other third parties should not treat them as formal qualifications.
